Description

Laboratory Fiber-Plus® Monkey Diet is a fiber-rich diet formulated to promote healthy weight management in primates in a laboratory setting.  Increased dietary fiber is predominately provided through soybean hulls.  It contains vitamin D3 and stabilized vitamin C needed to support captive primates housed either indoor or outdoor. This diet is formulated using managed formulation, delivering Constant Nutrition®.  This is paired with the selection of highest quality ingredients to assure minimal inherent biological variation in long-term studies.  To suit a range of facility configurations, alternative biscuit sizes are available in companion product Laboratory Fiber-Plus® Monkey Diet Jumbo.

Primates generally consume about 2% to 4% of their body weight in food each day. The daily food allowance should be given in equal portions twice during the day to prevent wastage. Fresh, clean water should be available at all times. The use of fruit, vegetables or other supplements is optional and is not necessary.
