LabDiet® JL Rat and Mouse/Irr 4F is a 4% fat, complete life cycle diet formulated to meet the nutrient requirements of rats and mice. The 5LG6 is similar in ingredients and macronutrients to the 5K54, used by The Jackson Laboratory. This diet is formulated using managed formulation, delivering Constant Nutrition®. This is paired with the selection of highest quality ingredients to assure minimal inherent biological variation in long-term studies. Irradiation give reliable microbial control and eliminates the need for autoclaving. Irradiation treatment and special 3-ply packaging provide virtually bacteria-free dietary control.
