Description

New World Primate Diet is formulated for all New World primates in a laboratory setting. Its relative high-energy content, and small biscuit size support small species with limited gut capacity. It contains vitamin D3 and stabilized vitamin C needed to support captive primates housed either indoor or outdoor. This diet is a complete life-cycle diet formulated using managed formulation, delivering Constant Nutrition®. This is paired with the selection of highest quality ingredients to assure minimal inherent biological variation in long-term studies.

Primates generally consume about 2% to 4% of their body weight in food each day. The daily food allowance should be given in equal portions twice during the day to prevent wastage. Fresh, clean water should be available at all times. The use of fruit, vegetables or other supplements is optional and is not necessary. The date of product manufacture is found at the bottom of the back panel of the bag.
